The basic M1 weighs 60 tons, with a length of 384.5 inches. The M1A1 and M1A2 have weights of 63 and 69.4 tons respectively, with a length of 387 inches.

Lets round that up to 70 ton vs. 113 metric ton ~ 111 Imperial ton. Truck wins.

I co-op’ed at a strip mine that used huge dump trucks like this. I was told that once a driver did run over a pickup and he didn’t know it until someone told him.

Also, the roads around the site were straight dirt (no gravel) , and when they were wet, the dump truck drivers would drift those trucks around corners when empty.

O_o

How fast do those things go ? It can't be much but I'd imagine they have a ton of torque.

I’m trying to remember, but that’s been 11 years ago. I think they would go like  30mph empty.
